Ordine degli Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti e Conservatori della Provincia di Milano

ordine architetti Milano

The Association of Architects, Planners, Landscape Designers, and Conservators of the Milan Province, with about 12,500 members and based in Milan, via Solferino 19, was established in 1923 to regulate intellectual professions of public interest to the benefit of the citizens.
In addition to ethical and Register-related purposes, the Association’s mission is to disseminate and promote the culture of architecture. The Association is the reference point for all the sector’s professionals, and provides basic information and training services – also through its Foundation – to professionals and citizens.
The website www.ordinearchitetti.i.it, visited by 5,000 unique users every day, provides sector-specific information on topical issues concerning relations between design and local conditions, as well as practical information to ensure the appropriate course of the profession (rules, norms, ethical codes…).
Its weekly newsletter reaches over 20,000 people, including members and stakeholders.
The Association provides to its members free advice on legal, contract, disciplinary, management, or other issues and promotes the internationalization of the profession.
It carries out an on-going dialogue with the local, regional, and national authorities and institutions to ensure appropriate representation, transparent participation, and an authoritative approach to decisions, management, and the future with respect to housing, the territory, and the landscape, to the benefit of citizens.
Based on the assumption that its mission is to serve consumers of architecture (citizens and local entities) and that good design provides a significant input to the quality of life, the Association – alongside its Foundation – promotes the culture of architecture with meetings, workshops, conventions, guided visits, theme-specific itineraries, shows and events, and curates publications, supports professional training and updating, manages information to and communication with the city, organizes debates on local issues, and strengthens relations with entities, companies, associations, institutions, and other professional associations.
Architects are represented at national level by the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Designers, and Conservators, elected by the provincial councils of the associations.
