Organization of Arab Architects
 

The idea of establishing an organization of Arab architects was originated in Brighton in 1987 during the World Conference of Architects.
This idea was renewed in 1990, when the Arab architects met, formed the Union of Arab Architects and elected the Engineer Maged Alkhulusi from (Egypt) as Secretary-General of the Union.
During his meeting in Morocco in 1991, Engineer Alkhulusi requested from the Federation of Arab Engineers to create an Organization of Arab Architects within the Federation and he was also responsible for preparing the Organization Statute.He presented the Statute during the meeting of the Federation of Arab Engineers held in Beirut, on June 14th, 1993, and where Dr. Ghassan Tayara from (Syria) was assigned to review it.
The Statute was approved during the meeting in Cairo on March 13th,1994 and after this, the elections of the Executive Committee and the President of the Organization took place in Jordan during the meeting of the Federation of Arab Engineers, where the Executive.
