We endeavor to sculpt a 60,000 square foot home embedded within a garden. One that visually recedes into, and is structured by, the landscape.
Nature rules here, by conceptually ‘peeling’ up the landscape we have envisioned a home that belies its programmatic scale and minimizes its impact to its context.
Private and Service programs are contained within minimal structural pavilions, allowing the remaining living spaces to flow freely from the interior onto graciously shaded terraces.
Decadent terrestrial gardens merge with sweeping vegetated roof gardens, connecting the earth to the second floor of the home, encouraging guests to explore the property and engage in the discovery of secret gardens and grottoes that spark the imagination and delight the soul.
Integral to the architecture, this green roof spirals around a central lagoon that affords the homeowner and guests a private sanctuary on the property.
Resting lightly atop this lush garden structure is a minimal yet evocative pavilion.
Its elegant form and proportion are designed to reduce the perceived scale of the home, and to compliment and contrast the rest of the home embedded within the gardens below.
The home is designed to effectively terrace down from two stories along the waterfront to one story towards the street. We believe that a nature driven vision for the property has resulted in an architecture that is conceptually engaging yet respectful of its context. A signature residence for Miami Beach that seeks to inspire and reimagine tropical living as we look towards the future.
