In 1990 CITCO came about, in the heart of Verona’s marble district, operating initially solely as a marketing company; it immediately distinguished itself for quality and reliability in the creation of extraordinary inlaid marble surfaces based on Classical decorations.
In 2006 came the change. The company decided to open an establishment to produce directly, in order better to control all the phases of the working process and to increase the already undisputed renown of the brand. It surrounded itself with a new team consisting of top quality craftsmen able to carry forward a proposal of great artistic craftsmanship, characterised by a sober and sophisticated luxury, where the work is meticulous and mostly executed by hand. Today with its works CITCO has entered the most exclusive homes and venues all over the world, including the villas of wealthy princes, sheikhs and presidents.
In 2007 an inexhaustible desire to renew its offer prompted the company to present the new Design Collection, alongside the Classical creations in order to also attract a sector of the public more sensitive to contemporary design; it therefore entrusted the first projects to the visionary guidance of Ferruccio Laviani. The great innovation, a challenge taken up by CITCO, consists in pushing further in research, proposing surfaces where marble, stone and onyx are combined with metal and light. Again in this direction, in 2012 the extraordinary association began with Zaha Hadid Architects, that design a series of new limited-edition three-dimensional projects, inspired by patterns simulating the process of natural systems, giving rise to architectural solutions with a powerful emotional impact.
In 2016 CITCO starts its collaboration with renowned international designers such as Stefano Bigi, Norman Foster, Arik Levy, Daniel Libeskind, Jean Nouvel and Ora ïto who enrich its Design Collection of lamps, tables, complements, vases and shelves, each with a different way of interpreting the material, but all connected by the same fil rouge: that of stripping marble of its material weight and making it seem light, versatile, easy to shape.
CITCO products have an extremely select international market, which, in order to grow, entrusts itself to the word of mouth of those, customers and professionals, who have had the opportunity to experience its excellent quality.
